Barolo
The most renowned and valuable vineyards are planted with Nebbiolo vines which are used to produce Barolo after the wine has been barrel-aged for 3 years.
The GABUTTI vineyard covers 15,000 square metres and faces SOUTH-EAST. The soil is heavily calcareous and the steeply sloping terrain results in optimal insolation. Barolo Gabutti is only made from the best grapes grown in this vineyard.
The MARGARIA vineyard consists of 0.5 hectare; its optimal WEST-facing exposure, favourable microclimate, soil type and the young age of the vines all contribute to the excellent quality of the grapes grown. This wine will be produced for the first time in 2003. In addition to these two vines, Barolo SERRALUNGA, the company’s classic product, is made from grapes grown in neighbouring areas in vineyards that are smaller than the previous sub-zones.
The vineyard extends across 1,5 hectares, is 30 years old and has 4500 rotstocks for hectare. The plants are spaced at a distance of 2.4 x 0.8 metres from each other. The vines used are the Lampia biothipe of the nebbiolo variety grafted ont 420 A type rootstocks. They are grown using the Guyot method. The rows are controur-planted and run from east to west.
Dolcetto
The Dolcetto vineyard spreads over 1.5 hectares and produces a total of 10,000 bottles each year. Located in the Meriame zone, the vineyard faces WEST and presents a heavy loamy soil which gives the wine its structure and characteristic bouquet.
Through a careful selection on the vine and a reduced yield per hectare, a portion of the grapes grown is vinified separately and sold under the name Meriame.

Barbera
Two vineyards are currently planted with Barbera vines, covering an area of 1 hectare with a WEST-facing exposure and loamy-calcareous soil. After being aged for 6-8 months in wood, the wine is bottled and allowed to refine for a few more months before being sold.
